About Third Space LearningHere at Third Space Learning, our mission is to ensure every student is able to access great quality online tuition to help them succeed in, and love, their learning. For too long, tutoring has been the preserve of a fortunate minority and we seek to address that by working in partnership with schools to provide additional weekly one to one maths tutoring to the pupils who need it most.We do this by recruiting passionate and enthusiastic undergraduates and graduates from emerging markets – namely India and Sri Lanka – and providing them with extensive training and development to form a global tutor community capable of delivering personalised and accessible tuition to schools at scale via our online platform.We have worked with 20%+ of schools in the UK and we are just getting started in the US. The scale of the problem we seek to solve is significant; there are 11 million disadvantaged students in the US, 1.7 million disadvantaged students in the UK, and millions more in English speaking markets globally.The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, or someone looking to start a career in Sales. While this is not your stereotypical sales role – you won’t be cold calling 100s of people who don’t want to speak to you every day, being an eager self-starter is a bonus.You’ll have immediate responsibility for the end-to-end sales process of your own opportunities, from pitching to negotiating deals as part of a tight team. You’ll be speaking to senior leaders in schools, sharing our innovative product and personalising our offering to their individual needs, ultimately driving our impact across the UK.Our entire sales team started off as interns so there are great opportunities for progression, with the whole team having experience of selling in the schools market from the ground up.If you want to talk to one of us about the role before applying, then just call 0203 771 0095.On a daily basis, expect to be:Arranging Demonstrations
- Responding to enquiries – contacting schools to organise meetings with school leaders
- Keeping your calendar up to date and having responsibility over your own pipeline
- Strategise and deliver your own campaigns to drive lead generation, creating your own business opportunities
Pitching to Schools
- Clearly communicating with and presenting (via phone or zoom) to school leaders about how Third Space works. Having excellent knowledge of the features and benefits that we offer
- Tailoring your pitch to their individual needs to ensure school leaders understand how to integrate our product into their context
- Handling objections and finding solutions
Following up and Completing Sales’
- After the demonstration, following-up with your contact to keep them engaged with the goal of confirming the sale
- Negotiating deal terms, confirming the purchase, processing the order and completing the sale
- Using our internal CRM (Salesforce) to track enquiries, pitch pipeline and sales, ensuring your records are up to date
Optimising Your Success
- Analysing your campaigns, opportunities, and deals to identify where improvements can be made as a collective team
- Feeding back insights to other teams to inform future strategy
Requirements
- A recent graduate (or relevant experience)
- An excellent communicator
- Ability to build rapport over the phone and in person
- A tenacious attitude with a drive to succeed
- Energy and creativity: positivity and enthusiasm are at the core of our sales team
- Excellent time management and organisation
- Clear passion for our mission and an eagerness to make your mark
- Drive to find new solutions and ways around problems
- Experience in sales or education is a plus (but not essential)
- London based or with ability to travel weekly to the office located in East London
Benefits
- £28,000-£32,000 base salary per annum (OTE £40,000)
- Full sales training provided – this consists of an initial 2 week training period followed by ongoing professional development and a dedicated personal development budget
- There are days where you’ll be expected to work from our central London office but around this there is the flexibility to also work from home
