About the role
At Lutheran Education Queensland Early Childhood & OSHC Services we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.
Peace Kindergarten, located on the grounds of the Lutheran College in a picturesque location in the foothills of the MacAlister Range is looking for Permanent Part-Time Kindergarten Educators (20hr – 35hr contracts) to join the team.
Start date from 4th December 2023. The Service is open Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5.00 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively supervising and engaging children in a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Providing all children with a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
- Building meaningful relationships with children, families, and the school community.
- Working collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Assisting with food preparation and general cleaning tasks.
- Supporting the Christian ethos of the Service
The successful applicants will have:
- Diploma of Child Care.
- Previous childcare experience.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the National Framework.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to engage with staff, children and families positively and proactively.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts during the operational hours of the Service.
- Ability to work 5 days per week.
