About the role
Would you like to be a part of the team that helps children with disabilities be included and participate in the kindergarten program?
The Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KIS) program helps create inclusive environments for all children including those with disabilities, developmental delays, or complex medical needs.
We are now looking to build our team of part-time Additional Assistants for school term placements in 2024.
In this role, you will work closely with Early Childhood Educators and Teachers to enable children to access and participate in their Kindergarten program. Placement opportunities are available in the local government areas of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham.
What’s on offer.
There are a variety of shifts available. A Kindergarten placement typically involves 7.5 to 15 hours per week during the school term. Hours vary between 8.15am and 5pm depending on each kindergarten service. There may be opportunities to undertake a second placement depending on availability.
You will receive a comprehensive induction and access to ongoing supervision and support from the Kindergarten Inclusion Support team.
In addition to a base hourly rate of $26.65 to $29.65 (depending on qualification) and superannuation, you can increase your take-home pay by accessing salary packaging benefits.

About you
We are looking for motivated self-starters who like using their initiative and feel confident to work in a new team and work environment.
Ideally, you will have some experience working in a Kindergarten and may have your Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care. You may also have a background working with children with all abilities.
What you will demonstrate, is good communication skills and be a team player, you will have worked with children in some capacity and have the computer skills to navigate and access our systems to submit requests and participate in our organisation.
