Lake Management Technician

Our Lake Management Technicians maintain lakes and ponds by managing plants and algae, monitoring water quality, operating equipment, ensuring healthy, balanced ecosystems while delivering premium client care and communications.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and service-minded Lake Management Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted steward of our clients’ lakes and ponds—delivering consistent, high-quality care that protects water quality, enhances aesthetics, and supports healthy aquatic ecosystems.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and manage aquatic vegetation and algae using proven, responsible treatment methods
  • Apply aquatic herbicides and algaecides safely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations
  • Install, maintain, and refill automatic fish feeders
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain aeration systems, fountains, and related lake equipment
  • Apply lake dye and other water-quality enhancement products as needed
  • Monitor lake conditions and proactively communicate observations to clients and leadership
  • Maintain organized service records and uphold company standards on every visit

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in aquatic management, environmental services, or route-based field work preferred.
  • Ability to identify aquatic plants and algae, or willingness to learn.
  • Experience using a CRM or field service software for routes, service records, and client notes or strong willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain jon boats, tools, and field equipment.
  • Professional, client-focused communicator; dependable and comfortable working independently.
  • Enjoys outdoor work in all weather and travel throughout the Southeast.
  • Ability to safely drive a company truck.
  • Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working from boats, uneven terrain, and in and near bodies of water.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Takes pride in representing a high-quality brand with integrity.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time (40-50 hrs/wk), non-exempt (OT eligible)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Licensing: Earning GA Applicators license required within the first 6 months of employment

Work Location & Travel

  • Our main office is located in beautiful Jasper, GA, the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains
  • In-person role with daily travel to client properties throughout Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, and Florida
  • Occasional weekly/monthly travel (a few nights per month, as needed)
