Description: Natural Resource Services, Inc. (NRS) is looking for qualified candidates to fill our Land Management Coordinator (LMC) position. This position will determine best management practices on NRS’s MN portfolio of land management projects, oversee all scheduling/coordination of work, manage land management personnel, and ensure that all work is completed in a quality and safe manner. The LMC will also play a pivotal role in our Prescribed Fire Program and Woodland Services Division. Projects are located primarily in Minnesota with occasional work occurring in surrounding states.
Duties and tasks could include: Client communications, client development, sales and bidding. Operation of zero turn mowers, light utility vehicles, small power equipment and tractors with mowers, forestry mowing, herbicide spraying, and prescribed burning.
Qualifications: A degree in biology, ecology, forestry, botany, natural resources management or related field and 5+ years’ experience in the restoration/land management industry. Additional skills/abilities required: mechanical skills, a good/insurable driving record, ability to pull trailers.
Requirements: Willingness and ability to work outside in sometimes adverse weather conditions on occasional uneven terrain. Ability to bend/lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable using herbicides and a willingness to obtain a MN Commercial Applicators License if necessary. Ability to complete overnight stays and occasional weekend work may be required.
Pay Rate: Dependent on candidate’s qualifications and experience. $26-$30/hr.
Benefits: This position includes the use of designated company truck for no-cost commuting. Additional benefits include: Simple IRA match, health insurance, HSA, holiday pay, paid vacation, participation in the company bonus plan and monthly cell phone stipend.
Hours: This is salaried, year-round position. Ratio of field/office work will be dictated by workload, project needs, seasonality and personal preference.
Location: NRS HQ is located in Sauk Rapids, MN. Employees report directly to the office and drive/ride in a company vehicle to the job site. Depending on the project location there may be opportunities for employees to report directly to the job site.
