The Land Trust of the Treasure Valley (LTTV) (www.lttv.org) is seeking an experienced and impassioned individual to serve as a full-time salary exempt Land Stewardship and Digital Content Coordinator for the organization (salary range $40-$45k). Based in Boise, Idaho, LTTV is an established non-profit conservation organization overseen by a diverse volunteer Board of Directors. LTTV operates in a service area that encompasses southwest Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada.
Essential Duties
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Land Stewardship and Digital Content Coordinator is intended to be a long-term growth position initially focused on providing traditional stewardship to our portfolio of private landowners, fee-title owned properties, and third-party land management agreements. The position will also assist the Conservation Programs Manager in the identification and facilitation of new projects. Across these stewardship and conservation engagements, the position will be expected to document interactions for the purposes of generating and posting regular original content for digital/social media communications. Additional tasks may include providing assistance in the development and implementation of restoration and enhancement treatments and coordination and facilitation of education, volunteer, and community engagement events. This position represents an opportunity to independently manage our stewardship program while integrating that work into our broader conservation, communications, and development programs, providing a platform for individual growth and exposure to multiple disciplines within the organization and the non-profit conservation profession.

Desired Qualifications and Experience
The Land Stewardship and Digital Content Coordinator position is intended to be a long-tenured position within the organization where the successful candidate will be encouraged to define the respective programs. Within the Stewardship program, the organization seeks to consistently maintain the candidate in this position as the regular representative of the organization among our portfolio landowners and neighbors. Development of opportunities to grow the program beyond the mandated monitoring and reporting duties will be encouraged and supported. With regards to the coordination of digital communications, the organization is currently producing relatively minimal digital content. The ideal candidate will maximize the organization’s digital/social media exposure at a minimum. However, development of the program into a broader dynamic communications platform will be encouraged and supported.
The ideal candidate will have applied experience in land stewardship/management, general knowledge of plants and wildlife, and a working knowledge of ecological functions and processes. The ideal candidate will have applied experience monitoring land parcels and/or project treatments, quantifying ecological metrics, and articulating observations consistently in a written report. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in organizing an annual workload, scheduling activities with partners and landowners, communicating effectively and consistently within expectations, and regularly satisfying timelines. Proficiency, or ability to achieve proficiency with Office 365 is expected. Applied experience in ArcGIS will be preferred.
The successful candidate will be competent with public engagement and interaction among user groups, volunteers, partners, private landowners, neighbors, and with youth. They will maintain an awareness for their role in representing the organization across a wide spectrum of constituents and their respective values. Establishing reasonable expectations and consistently delivering on those expectations with supporting communication is a keystone tenet of the organization.
Work Environment
The Stewardship and Digital Content Coordinator position is expected to maintain a 35/65 field-to-office environment ratio, with most of the work in the field environment expected during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. The successful candidate must have a willingness and ableness to work in inclement conditions on uneven, steep ground, operate hand-tools and equipment, and carry loads exceeding 35lbs. The successful candidate must have and maintain a valid insurable driver’s license. Overnight travel will be minimal and occasional weekend obligations can be expected, but otherwise candidates can expect a traditional workday.
Compensation and Benefits
The Stewardship and Digital Content Coordinator will be a full-time exempt position with a salary ranging from $40-45k annually. LTTV provides health insurance and matching IRA contributions. LTTV recognizes eleven paid holidays and new employees are granted ten days paid vacation.
