Location: Hybrid working role based at Knepp Wildland, Horsham,
with regular visits to sites across Sussex
Working Hours: 4-day week (32 hours) with scope to
increase to full time depending on funding. We have a flexible approach to working hours. This role
may include occasional evening and weekend work.
Salary: £32,000-35,000 pro rata, dependent on
experience. This is an initial one-year fixed term contract. Secondments considered.
Weald to Waves
is a visionary 100-mile nature recovery corridor across Sussex. Launched in 2021, we are a land
manager-led partnership project coordinated by the Knepp Wildland Foundation. We bring together
farmers, other landholders, communities, schools, businesses, councils, and services to create,
connect and conserve a ribbon of nature-rich landscape from the forests of the High Weald to the
kelp forests of the Sussex Bay. It is a nationally significant initiative, attracting funding and
interest from a range of actors with influence over our natural world.
We are seeking a
knowledgeable and dedicated Landscape Advisor to join our team. The Landscape Advisor will serve as
a crucial link between our organisation and local farmers and land managers, providing guidance on
various aspects of agricultural practices. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Sussex
landscape and experience of working with our farming sector. We are looking for someone with an
active interest in natural capital, ecosystem services and Nature Recovery Networks.
