to building and developing strong relationships a range of partners in the local area including
government bodies, local councils, commercial land managers and other charities.
You’ll be part of Wicken Fen’s property team, working with specialists in countryside
management, peatland restoration, ecology, farming, estate management and heritage.
This role is fixed-term for 3 years with a possibility of being made permanent. Please submit a
cover letter alongside your CV.
What it’s like to work here
You’ll be central in bringing together people to deliver our climate and nature strategy for
the Wicken Fen Vision, working together to deliver landscape scale change. There will be great
opportunities for you to gain new experiences, learn from others and to continue your personal
development.
You’ll be based from Wicken Fen Visitor Centre, near Ely and Newmarket. Hybrid working will be
considered to make this role work for you.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll develop and manage the relationship between the National Trust and key partners and
collaborators across the vision area. Great communication and consistency of messages will be
key to our success.
You’ll co-ordinate and lead on the exploration of options for a Landscape Recovery Scheme
application including significant landowner engagement, as well as horizon-scanning for future
engagement opportunities as they arise. Opportunities for habitat creation, carbon
sequestration through peatland restoration and providing accessible green space will underpin
all that you deliver.
You will also coordinate the management of the Vision workstreams, providing feedback to the
Vision Board as well as representing the organisation at external workshops, events and visits.
