The Law and Policy Team and what you’ll be working on
The Law and Policy team at ARTICLE 19 plays a pivotal role in organisation’s advocacy on freedom of expression. We comment on national laws, submit expert opinions through amicus briefs to courts, and influences international and regional standards on freedom of expression, in particular those related to digital technologies. expression. Our work involves developing and promoting policies, providing high-level legal advice, and engaging in advocacy efforts to address emerging challenges to freedom of expression.
You will support the Law and Policy Team as well as Digital Markets Team, to effectively deliver this work, in line with the Power of Our Voices, ARTICLE 19’s global strategy. You will provide administrative and logistical support, facilitate smooth functioning of the teams’ work and support substantive research in our projects. You will also play an important role in financial and project administration our projects.
What you will be doing day to day
- Supporting management and implementation of Law and Policy team and Digital Markets Team projects
- Supporting legal, policy and advocacy work
- Events organisation in London, Brussels or elsewhere
What you will bring to the role
- Experience in organising events, contributing to narrative and financial reports, compiling budgets and tracking and maintaining records of project expenditures
- Excellent administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence in using project management and financial systems for ensuring budgetary oversight
