Lawn Care Technician

Salary Range: $20-$22/hour

Join our dynamic team as a Lawn Care Technician at Rainbow Lawncare (A division of Rainbow Companies)! No experience required – we’ll provide training for passionate candidates who love working outdoors. This is a full-time, year-round, weekday position based in Minnetonka, MN with a start time of 6:30am. 

Lawn Care Technicians perform a variety of duties including fertilization, weed control, and holiday lighting installation in the winter. We offer a variety of lawn care services committed to beautifying the Twin Cities’ urban ecosystem. This position offers many opportunities for growth in your career, we promote from within!

What You Will Do:

• Fertilization, weed control, aeration, over-seeding, and/or hydro-seeding
• Electronically record all services promptly in our database
• Communicate with homeowners in a positive, professional manner
• You will transition into holiday lighting for the winter – no snow plowing!

What You Need:

• High school diploma or a GED
• Valid driver’s license and a commitment to safe driving
• Ability to work long days outdoors with possible overtime, in all terrain and inclement weather
• Obtain pesticide applicator’s license within 30 days of start (we will pay for test)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is performed outdoors in any weather element. May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to conditions including chemicals, the use of tools, and equipment. Safety precautions must be followed at all times, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other safety equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
