Description:

The Head Cashier is responsible for selling subscription and single admission tickets over the counter, by mail, and by phone reservation using the Ticketing software; providing information in person or by telephone regarding performance time schedules, locations of events, and various pricing and seating arrangements; explaining box office policies, answering questions, and resolving routine problems regarding ticket sales; balancing cash receipts and unsold tickets to ensure ticket accuracy and security.
Build and maintain events on ticketing system as assigned.
Cashier will assist and prepare tickets and permits for mailings and distribution to patrons.
This position will assist with the training of cashiers and student workers.
Required to closeout & reconcile cash drawers at events and open/close the operation per scheduling.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

The University Ticket Office is the central outlet for information about the ticketing of athletic events, Student Government Association, arts and cultural events on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalency.

Preferred:

• Two (2) years of cash handling and customer service experience preferably in a box office setting.
