Company DescriptionCredit Risk is pivotal in stopping applicants with a high propensity to be Fraud or Bad Debt connecting onto the network, whilst ensuring we take on as many connections as possible.The successful candidate will have a leading role in this by being the main link into other key areas within Finance Operations, and in bringing our analysts along on the journey.You will be using your data analytics skills using systems like Excel, SAS, Alteryx, Python and Snowflake to pro-actively come up with ideas by collecting, analysing and interpreting our data and our credit policies & Credit Strategies to make recommendations to management. Your knowledge of scorecard monitoring and development will ensure that our decisioning is optimised at all times.You will be a key member of Credit Risk – Strategy, the team which controls and maintains our 1st line decisioning outcomes via our credit scorecards while managing the First Bill Not Paid rate for new connections. This is highly visible across the business and to our shareholders.To succeed in this role, you will need to be a pro active, dynamic and flexible individual that embraces being a leading member of the team.   • Be responsible for the monitoring and development of critical scorecard & decisioning performance across our consumer and business journeys, ensuring high degree of accuracy always.
  • Work with the other Leads in the team to regularly complete reviews of potential risks, highlight areas of improvement and ways to grow profitable connections to the network.
  • Liaise with other business areas and have regular conversations with key stakeholders.
  • Review and provide feedback and insight on our propositions, projects and services and consistently look for opportunities to support delivery of the company goals.
  • Proactively collect, analyse, and interpret information to support the development of credit strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Use your Excel and SAS/Alteryx knowledge to collect, analyse and interpret information to understand key trends.
  • Work with your peers within your immediate team and across the wider Credit Risk population to manage the key performance objectives and challenge existing credit policies.
  • Ensure that changes requested are accurate and effective by testing proposed changes then reviewing actual impacts vs those expected quickly and on time.
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc tasks, producing useful insight, making, and communicating your recommendations while driving towards a successful conclusion that will add value to the contributions from the Credit Risk team

Qualifications

  • Experience working at a Senior/Lead Analyst level in a fast-paced organisation.
  • Experience of managing, maintaining and developing new & existing credit scorecards (Essential).
  • Advanced Excel skills: Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting etc. (VBA beneficial).
  • Open and flexible personality to deal with constantly evolving situations and delivering to all levels in the business
  • Proven and recent experience (within last 6 months) in analysing data using strong SAS/SQL, Alteryx or similar language & systems knowledge (Essential).
