We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Educator to join our established team at Windsor Neighbourhood Centre on a permanent part-time basis.

Located in a peaceful setting with an expansive natural outdoor play area, Windsor Neighbourhood Centre provides a unique learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration for up to 54 children.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have the passion and drive to help children feel safe and secure, encouraging them to express their interests and ideas. You will enhance their ideas through our educational program, which requires daily planning—experience in this area is essential. You should be kind, caring, and capable of guiding both your assistant and the children through their learning journeys.

Details

  • Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Remuneration: $27.49 to $30.07 per hour based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive educational program.
  • Follow our events calendar to ensure all children can participate in programs and special events.
  • Support children’s growth and development, ensuring they learn and have fun in a happy, safe, and nurturing environment.
  • Engage in professional and personal development.
  • Promote the service within the local community, aligning with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma qualification recognised by ACECQA
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates
  • Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework & the National Quality Standard
  • Effective workplace communication skills
