Job Role: Lead EstimatorLocation: SussexSalary: £70,000 – £80,000 + packageAbout the Role:As an Estimator, you’ll work directly with the Pre-Construction Lead to drive cost estimation for water-related projects. You’ll review Project Content Documents (PCD), develop innovative solutions, and prepare accurate Bottom-up and Top-down estimates. You will manage a multi-discipline estimating team and work closely with design, engineering, and delivery teams to support both ongoing projects and tenders.Key responsibilities include:

• Leading estimating efforts across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Managing the estimating team and resources.
• Providing strategic advice and preparing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conducting technical and commercial reviews of quotations and managing site visits during tendering.

About you:

• Experienced Estimator in the water sector, with a strong background in civil engineering projects.
• Proven track record in managing multi-discipline estimating teams (civil, mechanical, electrical).
• Strong ability to collaborate with design, engineering, and delivery teams to prepare accurate estimates.
• Familiar with Civil Engineering Method of Measurement (CEMM).
• Ideally Chartered in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Customer-focused, safety-conscious, and environmentally aware.
• Bonus: Knowledge of CCS ‘Candy’ Estimating system (training provided).
