We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.Job DescriptionMake your mark as Lead Field Engineer for Boskalis Subsea Services located onshore. As Lead Field Engineer you will provide technical support to the BSS Mobilisation Manager, BSS Field Engineers, BSS Operations Department and BSS Projects in the planning, preparation and safe execution of all mobilisations and projects.Your responsibilities as Lead Field Engineer:The main accountabilities & responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Onshore.:
- Supervision, mentoring and coaching of all Field Engineers.
- Communication with the Field Engineer team ensuring any improvements / initiatives are supported onshore as required.
- Point of contact for Field Engineers to provide technical support.
- Promote/implement positive changes across the fleet with the aim of aligning all vessel services/equipment etc
- Promote any training requirements within the group.
- Provide guidance and support to the upkeep of the vessel service drawings and vessel description documents and all other Field Engineer documentation.
- Ensuring the correct Way of Working and NINA processes are adhered to in the planning of mobilisation activities by project, operations and/or assets teams.
- Provide engineering support to operations department as required, including planning for R&M and dry dock workscopes.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified.
Mobilisation.:
- Provide leadership during mobilisations and demobilisations to ensure that the activities are delivered safely and efficiently in accordance with approved deck plans or as amended where necessary through the Management of Change process
- Prepare, plan and oversee vessel activations and de-activations at the start and end of season.
- Attend and support vessel mobilisation activities
- Mentor and provide support to the development of less experienced engineers, ensuring the quality of engineering at the assigned worksite is maintained to a high standard.
Project Engineer Activities.:The Lead Field Engineer will be required to perform in the role of Senior Project Engineer during the offshore phase of the project.QualificationsYou can make your mark as a Lead Field Engineer if you have:
- Engineering qualification (HNC or above) or relevant knowledge obtained through practical experience in all aspects of the Field Engineer role
- 5 years Field Engineer/Project Engineer work experience
- 3 years offshore experience in a supervisory/senior capacity.
- Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST and OGUK Medical.
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
