About the opportunity

This is a new and unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact upon driving positive change with primary healthcare organisations, utilising expertise in team leadership, change management and stakeholder engagement to guide the primary healthcare workforce through reform and embedding person-centred care. The Practice Improvement team support programs across Primary Health Tasmania in areas such as Aboriginal Health, aged care, alcohol and other drugs, chronic conditions, intellectual disability, preventative health, palliative care and mental health.

What you would be doing

Working closely with Manager – Practice Improvement you will:

  • Work collaboratively with your team to support enhanced primary care engagement
  • Provide technical leadership in building awareness of quality improvement and support your team to embed person-centred, quality improvement within general practice and other primary care providers
  • Implement initiatives to improve primary care sustainability

Here’s what you’ll look like

  • Team Leadership: Proven team leadership capability in high performance, complex environments
  • Change Management: Ability to facilitate and manage change within healthcare organisations, guiding teams through transitions and overcoming resistance to new processes and initiatives
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration: Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with primary healthcare workforce
  • Quality Improvement: High level of applied understanding of quality improvement methodologies and demonstrated experience in leading the implementation of quality improvement strategies
  • Ideally have health related, business or other relevant qualifications or extensive experience working in or with primary care organisations
  • You’ll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work
