A Place to Grow Three Rivers, Wingate NC is hiring lead teachers for all classrooms as we prepare to open our new facility this fall. Opportunities for professional growth, including becoming director of your own facility.

We are situated on 1.5 acres of forested outdoor classroom space which offers our children and teachers opportunities to explore the woods, garden, go for nature walks, and grow through experiential learning strategies. Flexible shift options are available for both full and part-time employment.

Duties

Classroom teachers work together to plan and execute curriculum using the NC Foundations For Early Learning and Development. Our lead teachers supervise children, manage all activities of daily living, execute curriculum, and communicate with families.

Requirements

Requirements Prior to Hire

  • 18 years old
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Negative TB Test
  • Medical Report/Heath Questionnaire
  • Fingerprinting and a Background check are required (we pay the fee)
  • Be ready to share the joy of learning through play in a beautiful nature based setting!

Training Requirements after Hire

  • Complete First Aid and CPR training within the first 90 days after hire (We pay the fee)
  • NC DHHS Trainings (Paid Training!)
    • Between 5-20 hours are required per year based on the applicant’s position, education level and years of verifiable experience.
  • Strong preference is given to candidates with at least 9 credits in ECE
  • Candidates with a degree in alternative fields are also welcomed!
  • Class of 2024 College Graduates are encouraged to apply

Nice To Haves

*Candidates should have good written and oral communication skills.

Any combination of the following:

  • Experience in early childhood education
  • 12 hours in early childhood courses
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
  • NCECAC Level I Certification

We are happy to train the right person, regardless of previous experience. We offer free college tuition or Child Development Associate training.
