The Opportunity:
OnTalent is partnering with RAQ to introduce an exciting new role within the organisation. The Learning and Development Advisor will support the facilitation of onboarding and ongoing training requirements specific to RAQ’s Domestic & Family Violence (DFV) Co-Response program. This part-time, 2-year contract position involves guiding new employees through orientation, systems training, workplace health & safety training, and role-specific training. The goal is to equip team members with the necessary knowledge, tools, and skills to be effective, competent, and safe in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development (Multi-modal):

- Support the instructional design approach for e-Learning, virtual, and face-to-face materials.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audience’s training needs.
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical employees to prepare learning resources.
- Assist in developing and revising modules and programs delivered by webinar, e-learning, and face-to-face.
- Assess, review, and develop documentation to support modules and programs.
- Coordination and Delivery (Face-to-Face and Virtual Training):
- Coordinate end-to-end training needs with clinical and non-clinical employees.
- Provide advice on developing learning resources and coordinating learning activities, considering best delivery methods and adult learning principles.
- Design and develop documentation to support training modules and programs.
- Deliver program-specific training plans, and assess competency, and readiness.
- Reporting and Recording:
- Record employee attendance at professional development activities and maintain attendance records and certificates.
- Learning Management System Administration:
- Deploy and manage access to online course material.
- Provide training and support to managers and employees regarding the use of the LMS.
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Be receptive to feedback and reflect on it to improve performance.
- Promote regular opportunities for employees to give feedback.
- Organisational Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
- Act in ways that advance RAQ’s objectives, values, and reputation.
- Undertake other duties consistent with skills and experience as directed by the reporting manager.
About You:
Qualifications:
- Required: Relevant qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment.
- Highly Desired: Undergraduate qualifications in Psychology or Social Work, Project Management.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in workplace training and assessment, and learning and development consultation.
- Experience in instructional design and the delivery and evaluation of learning programs.
- Sound knowledge and experience in contemporary organisational development and human resource management.
- Experience engaging proactively with and supporting clients of diverse backgrounds.
Skills:
- High-level communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools.
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting skills, with the ability to recommend and monitor metrics for achievement.
