The Learning & Organisational Development team have the rewarding job of creating a learning culture that ensures Berry Street staff are engaged, and have access to the professional development they need to provide positive outcomes for the children, young people and families they work with.

The Opportunity

Working with the Senior Manager of Learning & Development, you will bring your diverse Learning and Development expertise, a passion for learning and innovation. This role is responsible for delivering a broad suite of learning that builds the capability of the Berry Street workforce, meeting organisational, program and team needs, improving employee engagement, and ultimately enhancing service user outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • High level presentation skills with experience in developing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, coaching and group work.
  • High level knowledge of adult learning principles and organisational and development strategies that build workforce capacity and a culture of learning.
  • Experience in providing internal consultancy advising on effective learning solutions to meet strategic program and team needs.
  • Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems and the development of online and blended courseware.
  • Experience in managing the learning program lifecycle including needs analysis, planning, design, promotion, delivery and evaluation of development activities.

  • Confident in public speaking and facilitation.
  • High level understanding of adult learning principals and learning and development strategies that build workforce capacity and a culture of learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Broad lens view of learning practices and its impact on organisations.
  • Ability to identify key learning gaps and create supports to ensure programs and our people thrive. 
  • Bachelor qualification in Adult Learning or a related field.
  • Experience in the Community Services sector and Project Management (Desirable).
