The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for identifying training needs, producing up to date training materials and designing and delivering engaging training for a range of systems & processes used throughout the organisation.We are implementing training across several key systems across GBS. The Learning and Development Specialist’s responsibility would be to ensure all staff are trained on these systems, processes and are able to use these, according to their role.The Learning and Development Specialist will also be responsible for delivery of other process training such as HR, Recruitment, Health & Safety and some policy introductions and changes.This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Please note: This is a 6 Month Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract, with potential to extend.

  • Deliver training courses using a variety of media for IT systems and internal company processes.
  • Design training sessions appropriate to enhance the skills required for employees to deliver performance
  • Carry out training needs analysis and adapt training delivery to suit staff needs and abilities.
  • Create and maintain training documentation, user manuals and LMS materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and learning outcomes.
  • Assist implementation and roll out of new systems.
  • Research and develop new methods of training delivery to ensure skills are kept current and to match industry standards.
  • Support our central support team with training queries from our helpdesk as well as provide internal training to other departments.
  • Ensure all staff are trained to use new and existing systems.
  • Identify any training Gaps. Plan training activities to ensure all training Gaps are covered.

  • A minimum of one year’s experience delivering systems training to users through a variety of different mediums.
  • CIPD, or equivalent qualification in training.
  • Knowledge of training on Information Systems.
  • Strong communication skills. Experience delivering training to large user groups and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver training sessions face to face, online, provide distanced learning and coaching.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training material.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft systems and excellent general IT competence.
  • End user training in a large corporate environment

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes and systems but not limited to Unit4, Event Map.

Experience of working as System Trainer in a Higher Education Institution. * Knowledge of cloud-based Information Systems.

  • Experience of delivering training for a Record Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes.
  • End user training in a large corporate environment
