THE ORGANISATION
Health Equity Matters is the peak national organisation for Australia’s community HIV response and aims to end health inequity for its communities. Through advocacy, policy and health promotion, they champion awareness, understanding and proactivity around HIV prevention, education, support and research. Health Equity Matters leads the national conversation on HIV and works collaboratively with governments, clinicians, researchers and communities across Australia.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Learning Coordinator is a valuable member of the HOLA (HIV Online Learning Australia) team which delivers a national workforce development program for Australia’s HIV community workforce. Reporting to the Manager, HOLA (HIV Online Learning Australia), this role will work closely with the entire team to deliver a range of engaging learning activities. Specifically, you will:
- Maintain systems to support enrolment and management of participants in learning programs
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the development and delivery of online and in-person learning packages
- Collect baseline and ongoing data relating to member participation and program completion for reporting
- Co-ordinate and facilitate ongoing communities of practice meetings
- Engage with colleagues, members and external contractors, ensuring effective communication
- Support users of the online learning platform, to ensure a positive learning experience
SKILLS REQUIRED
You will have a strong background in maintaining systems to support programs and thrive in a busy, collaborative team environment. In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate:
- Successfully planning and coordinating training and/or events
- Experience designing and implementing systems in order to track activity and impact
- Strong attention to detail to accurately maintain information on databases, CRMs or learning management systems
- High level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to build cohesive relationships and resolve complex issues with various stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to problem solve with creativity and sensitivity
