Position Overview:

The Department of Finance at Boise State University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position starting Fall 2024. The successful applicant is expected to teach both face-to-face and asynchronous online undergraduate and graduate Finance courses, have a commitment to high-quality teaching, engage in university and community service, and maintain a connection with the professional Finance community. The standard teaching load is four courses per semester. The successful applicant must relocate to the Boise, Idaho area.

Salary and Benefits:

About the Department: 

The Department of Finance has approximately 400 Finance students in the undergraduate program.  The department also supports in-person and online MBA programs.  The College of Business and Economics encourages ongoing professional development and supports faculty in their efforts by funding professional development accounts, among other initiatives. Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in finance or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited university.
  • At least five years of relevant experience as a finance professional.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully teaching face-to-face and/or asynchronous online finance courses at the university level.
  • Willing and able to sustain high-quality involvement with the professional finance community.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CFP, etc.).
