You will have previous teaching or training experience that will enable you to contribute to teaching, assessment, quality enhancement and pedagogic research within the Department. We welcome applications from Human Physiologists with an active research or clinical background. You will be expected to teach across a range of disciplines, and at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and be able to effectively deliver the key aspects of human physiology through lectures, seminars, and practical classes. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes, and you must be committed to providing an excellent student experience.
You should have a first degree in Human physiology or related discipline, and either a Master’s degree or a PhD or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate significant professional practice experience. Preferably, you will be a member of a relevant professional body and must be willing to contribute to research across a range of university-wide research institutes and centres.

We have a well-established academic team, and the University provides an excellent working environment to allow you to access continued career development.
We are committed to promoting and developing a culture of excellence, diversity and mutual respect that supports all our staff and students and welcome applications from all sections of society.
