About the Role
The Department of Management and Marketing are seeking to appoint a Lecturer, Management to support the Department’s teaching and research activities.
As a Lecturer, Management you will be expected to contribute to the school’s mission “to advance innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact through our career-ready graduates and industry-engaged research”.
The Department of Management and Marketing offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate studies of Management, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Marketing. It delivers high quality personalised education whilst also fostering a strong research culture that includes international collaborations, competitive grants, high-quality publications and impactful and industry engaged research.
In this role you will prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and workshops and to assess students in the relevant business discipline both on campus and online. This includes developing and supporting academic programs and working with the academic team in the development of program change and innovation. You will assume administrative tasks associated with normal teaching duties and will also contribute to School management and administration generally. It is also expected that you will mentor and counsel students on academic matters and may also supervise honours, masters and PhD students.
Additionally, this role will contribute to the School’s overall research output, income and impact. This includes international collaborations, competitive grants, high-quality publications and participation in activities that foster and build further on existing links with government, business, communities and professions in Australia and internationally. Ideally you will have an understanding of teaching leadership and a strong knowledge of how new technology, like AI, impacts teaching and research.
