The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join a close-knit in-house legal team. Working closely with senior lawyers, you will gain exposure to varied & intellectually stimulating work, from general commercial contracts to large-scale IT projects, and everything in between. While the team have a UK focus, many of the agreements you will work on have international elements. The legal team is a vital part of the business, so you can expect to play a valued role in the company’s success and be rewarded for the work you put in. This opportunity would suit you if you are a lawyer in private practice looking for your first in-house legal counsel role. Alternatively, you might be an existing legal counsel looking to join a growing, global business at the forefront of innovation in its sector. About you: · This role would suit a commercial lawyer with 2 – 6 years PQE · Ideally, you will have trained at a reputable private practice law firm · Applications may be considered from candidates in other practice areas (such as corporate M&A or construction) · Strong academic track record · Be a commercially aware individual looking for an opportunity to be a “business partner” What’s on offer? Salary: negotiable dependant on experience. As a guide, c. £65-75k Bonus: consistent annual bonus of c. 20% Flexibility: very hybrid environment. Office attendance is down to individual choice and business need. Typically 1-2 days per week. Travel: international travel is a requirement of the role. Other benefits: enhanced employer pension contribution, 25 days annual leave (+ BHs), enhanced parental leave, private medical, etc. Location: commutable from London, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire.
