This global company with a strong UK presence has an expanding legal team, with an opportunity to join as legal counsel; this role would be the first legal appointment for one of their North West offices.Your new role
You will join a credible and hard-working team providing a range of legal advice and support for both operational and corporate service departments. Your duties will include drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including IT contracts, outsourcing arrangements, supplier agreements and cross-border interactions. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and will be expected to support and sometimes lead on various legal projects, in addition to gaining exposure to corporate governance matters.What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified solicitor who is available to work onsite in the Liverpool or Manchester office on a hybrid basis. You must have good quality commercial contracts experience gained either in private practice or in-house and be willing to adapt and learn new areas of law to work effectively in a broad legal counsel role. You will ideally have experience in the logistics sector with hand-on experience dealing with IT contracts.What you’ll get in return
You will be offered a salary in line with your level of experience, within the £65k-£85k bracket, plus benefits.
