Successful construction and property consultancy seeks a Legal Executive to support their leading in-house legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, negotiation and completion of a range of agreements including bespoke professional services agreements, framework agreements, sub-consultancy, deeds of collateral warranty, deeds of novation, deeds of novation, confidentially and other auxiliary documents and related legal documents
- Ensuring retention and regular updating of records in accordance with internal filing conventions
- Handling governance, procedure protocols and insurance related protocols
- Monitoring delays in the negotiation and completion of legal agreements; being proactive in understanding business impact on fee payments and commercial best practice
- Identifying actual or potential conflicts of interest
- Researching new areas of legislation and other legal developments. Advising on implications accordingly
- Working with project managers, engineers and construction professionals
We are looking for:
- You will ideally posses at least three years experience in a similar position
- Chartered Legal Executive, Qualified Solicitor or similar legal experience
- Understanding of professional standards and ethics
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to build relationships
- Practical and commercial approach to the law
- IT literate and experience in MS office and electronic signature platforms
