BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation, is currently looking for a legal officer based in Brussels to reinforce our work on enforcement and redress.
YOUR role
- The position will focus on improving the enforcement of consumer rights across the EU by supporting BEUC’s and our members’ activities;
- Various tasks in the area of enforcement and redress, including research, exchanges with various stakeholders, preparation of meetings;
- Co-ordinate enforcement activities with our members;
- Contribute to BEUC’s work in the field of enforcement and redress with drafting position papers and actively engaging in our campaigns.
YOUR profile
- A University degree in law or other relevant areas;
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a position related to EU/national law, ideally with knowledge on EU consumer and market law;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English are essential; good knowledge of written and spoken of another European language an asset;
- Very good communication skills;
- Good knowledge and understanding of consumer policy and legislation is an asset;
- Experience in co-operating with an EU wide network and/or project management is an asset;
- Experience with working in a public enforcement authority or law firm is an asset;
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Team player, curiosity, autonomy, ability to perform under pressure;
- Well-organised.

- A full-time contract with a gross monthly salary in the indicative range of €3,679 to €3,912, depending on experience;
