Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

The Liaison Assistant under the direct supervision of the Grants Manager by facilitating effective communication and coordination between SHO and external entities, including government bodies, donors, and partners. The role is critical in ensuring smooth operational processes, compliance with governmental requirements, and the successful management of grants and funding relationships.

• Government Relations:The Liaison Assistant will develop and sustain effective relationships with governmental entities in both KRI and FGI to facilitate the smooth operation of SHO activities.
• Access Letters:The Liaison Assistant will ensure that all SHO staff possess up-to-date access letters for both KRI and FGI governments, thereby supporting the uninterrupted implementation of SHO’s operations.
• Meeting Attendance:The Liaison Assistant will attend all essential meetings with donors, partners, and DMA alongside SHO’s senior management team, ensuring that these meetings are well-organized and follow-up actions are implemented effectively.
• Representation:The Liaison Assistant will represent SHO across all governmental entities in KRI and FGI, ensuring that SHO’s processes and procedures remain current and compliant.
• The Liaison Assistant must adhere to SHO’s PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) policy to maintain the trust and safety of the communities we serve and uphold the organization’s ethical standards.
• The Liaison Assistant will undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager to support organizational goals and support the admin and logistic officer with visa and residence card processing with government officer for international visitors and employees

Other requirements: 

• Proficiency in English, Arabic, and Kurdish, both spoken and written, is required.
• Strong computer skills are essential.
• A driving license is a plus.
