Library and Archives Delivery Driver

We have an opportunity available to join our team on a permanent basis at 11.5 hpw.WHAT IS INVOLVED?You will provide a safe, friendly, effective and efficient delivery service ensuring essential transportation of stock items and objects between libraries and archive venues ensuring timely supply of stock and business continuity.Providing excellent customer service at all times and implementing a “can do” culture, you will contribute to the overall success of the service area and the organisation as a whole.We encourage you to contact Michael Nattress, Library Resource Manager via email at michael.nattress2@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.WHAT WILL I NEED?NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and EnglishCurrent valid driving licenceYou must have experience of maintaining accurate records and of working to achieve targets.Good numeracy, literacy and excellent customer service skills are essential, along with IT skills and the ability to use digital applications.If successful, you will be required to undertake and pass and in-house driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed.Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria.REWARDS AND BENEFITSWe offer generous rewards and benefits that are designed to help you perform at your best:
