Post Summary

Trinity College Dublin seeks to appoint assistants in the Library Shop and Online Fulfilment areas for the busy summer season. The hours of work offered are 35 per week, five days out of seven. The appointees will join the team responsible for serving the one million visitors to the Old Library and Book of Kells Exhibitions annually.

Previous retail experience necessary and experience in the tourism industry an advantage. Knowledge of another European language would also be helpful.

Shifts will vary as follows: 8am-4.00pm. 10am-6.00pm and 1:00pm-9:00pm.

A shift allowance of 16.66% will be paid in addition to basic salary for shifts completed.

Library Shop staff are an integral part of the library / visitor services team and often the first point of contact a visitor will have with the library.

Salary:

 This appointment will be made on the Library Shop Assistant 3 Merged Salary Scale (€958.73 – €1250.29 per fortnight ) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
