About the Role
The Library Site and Facilities Support Officer position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our library spaces, contributing to a conducive environment for students. Reporting to the Library Site and Facilities Coordinator, you will play a crucial part in local building works, team relocations, and the overall safety and quality of our library spaces.

You will be an integral part of Occupational Health and Safety activities, contribute to the success of events, and assist in coordinating security measures, access control, building maintenance, cleaning, and furniture replacement under the guidance of the Library Site and Facilities Coordinator.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support day-to-day Scholarly Services site operations under the general guidance of the Library Site & Facilities Coordinator.
  • Act as secondary point-of-contact for relevant space and facilities projects including documenting and updating relevant processes.
  • Support the inspection and review of facilities and infrastructure, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Supporting the Library Site and Facilities Coordinator to ensure that facilities under the management of Scholarly Services meet University standards for occupancy and OHS, and action on any EHS remediation requests.

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • Must have the ability to physically relocate equipment and minor furniture items.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and experience working with raw data for reporting purposes.
  • Desirable: experience with local space improvement projects, facilities management, OHS and assets management.
