TITLE: Livelihoods Coach. TEAM/PROGRAMME: Refugees and Migrants Program -EAMR PROJECT LOCATION: Cairo, Nozha Hub/Ain Shams area. GRADE: 6 CONTRACT LENGTH: Till December 31, 2024,

with possible extension based on performance and Contingent upon confirmation of funding.

Child SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g.

once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country

programs; or are visiting the country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This position will be responsible for supporting SCI’s livelihoods activities for refugees and host community members. The position is responsible for the mentorship of the livelihood beneficiaries. The position maintains a follow-up process with the livelihood beneficiary to ensure their understanding of the training material and their ability to develop their skills either to start a micro-business or to maintain a job.

Projects Scope:

This project aims that children and youth in vulnerable situations have their rights respected and possess sound self-reliance capacities that allow them to improve their life perspectives.

It will also target national and community organizations to enable them to provide effective protection and self-reliance services for children and youth. The project is targeting children and youth up to 24 years from the refugees, migrants, and host communities at Ain Shams and surrounding areas.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Livelihoods coordinator. Staff directly reporting to this post: None

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Project Implementation:

· Conduct one-to-one assessments with livelihood candidates and check their eligibility to the criteria.

· Provide career guidance sessions to beneficiaries from different age groups (16 – 24yrs)

· Participate in training delivery for life skills, essential work skills, and business skills.

· Conduct business groups and individual mentoring sessions for the livelihood’s participants during the project implementation.

· Follow up with the employed beneficiaries and provide them with career counseling advice.

· Keep an updated database of the participants’ information and their received services.

In case of Emergency:

· Promote children’s rights, contributing to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and code of conduct.

· During emergencies, he/she should act in a way that facilitates SCI’s response to emergencies, giving

priority to all assigned.

· Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies and show needed flexibility .

General:

· Demonstrate leadership in relation to Save the Children policies and practice with respect to safeguarding, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
