COOPI is officially registered in Kurdish Region of Iraq and in Federal Iraq and has been active in Iraq since end of 2016 when started implementing a series projects in Education sector in Mosul district with funding from AICS and private donors. In 2019, COOPI started with WASH programming and emergency cash interventions in Salah ad Din governorate. In 2022 COOPI bring WASH, education, child protection, and livelihoods programming in Iraq

Under the project “Promoting Social Cohesion Stabilization through Young People Skilling, Employability, Entrepreneurship and Social Engagement in Mosul and Sinjar” funded by UNCIEF the following activities are planned establishment of innovation labs, Provision of Skills development activities, Provide Youth Empowerment through seed funding and employment services activities, training programs on creating CVs, Cover Letters and Job-seeking, engaging young people in joint community development initiatives contributing to social cohesion and social peace and Capacity development of Youth Advisory Group in Mosul and Sinjar.

Scope of the role

The Livelihood Project assistant / Accountability and Feedback will support the implementation and management of the livelihood project activities and accountability and feedback mechanisms to ensure that the proper implementation of project activities and organization’s programs are responsive to the needs and concerns of the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities

 

Objective 1: To ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities

  • Participate in Planning and implementation of activities such as Establishment and operating innovation Labs, Provide Youth Empowerment through seed funding and employment services activities by organizing competition and best idea win, Organizing job/internship fair event…etc.
  • Organize community meetings with the targeted communities.
  • Collect and document feedback from the field on implementation of the methodology, including challenges and lessons learnt.

 

Objective 2: Feedback Collection and Management

 

  • Assist in the design and implementation of feedback and complaint mechanisms (e.g., hotlines, suggestion boxes, community meetings).
  • Collect feedback from beneficiaries through various channels and record it accurately in the feedback database.

 

Objective 3: Community Engagement and Outreach

 

  • Conduct regular field visits to engage with communities and gather their input on program activities.
  • Disseminate information about feedback mechanisms and organizational accountability policies to beneficiaries.

 

Objective 4: Response and Resolution

  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure timely and appropriate responses to feedback and complaints.
  • Follow up on unresolved issues and ensure that beneficiaries are informed about the actions taken.

 

Objective 5: Data collection and reporting

  • File and document on regular bases.
  • Regular reporting of work progress to the LHH PM;
  • Report possible problems or conflicts during the activities;
  • Report the use of materials and possible improvement.

 

Objective 6: Support all COOPI activities

  • Support emergency interventions, as per the employee’s competences;
  • Support any activity that helps achieving COOPI humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s capacities;
  • Participate in new assessments;
  • Support other activities if it is needed;

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications and experience

 

  • University degree on economic development topic/Social Studies /Education or related qualifications;
  • Experience in Livelihood projects and accountability and feedback of at least 2 years.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Fluency in Local languages, English is an advantage
  • Well-working knowledge of excel is a must.
