Job Summary

The Livelihoods and Family Support Assistant will work on the implementation of projects and support the EARN team in all areas include training, beneficiary selection, beneficiary home visits and relationship building, distributions, office administration paperwork, and collecting data and writing reports, and assisting the all EARN staff with direction from the Program Coordinator as well as the Agriculture and Business Coordinators. The Livelihoods and Family Support Assistant will perform all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse with a generous and serving spirit.

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide full admin support and perform data-entry, collect all the documentations for the beneficiaries.
  • Write weekly and monthly reports, updates, and beneficiary profiles.
  • Correspond with beneficiaries on any necessary processes and documentation needed for the program.
  • Coordinate with the team in collecting information and updating the beneficiary tracker in the required data. Also carry the task of uploading all beneficiary data to the beneficiary tracker daily
  • Conduct house visits to support the family with basic physical and emotional needs, and refer cases to program manager and/or other programming support to respond to those needs with compassionate action.
  • Consistent follow-up visits and encouragement to beneficiary families who engage with the program.
  • Build relationships with beneficiaries and community members in targeted villages, creating peace between community members and encouraging stronger family connections, especially among women.
  • Lead life skills training curriculum given by the Program Manager related to livestock, beekeeping, agriculture, and business management , fostering discussion and follow up lessons as necessary to beneficiaries.
  • Manage beneficiary complaints, requests and cases, referring cases as necessary to Program Manager.
  • Work on beneficiary selection with livestock team under supervision of the Program Manager.
  • Support in distributions of livestock, agriculture materials, and other programmatic distributions.
  • Conduct assessments under the direction of PM for future programmatic activities in areas of SP activity in Sinjar with the overall goal of further building the capacity to serve the family needs of the community.
  • Complete other activities as directed by the Program Manager.

Education / Experience Needed

  • Experience in livestock, agriculture, and/or business management
  • Experience with Administrative and computer work
  • Preferred experience working with a NGO)

 

 

LANGUAGE

Kurmanji Kurdish, and Arabic required. English is a plus.
