Livelihoods Specialist (m/f)

in Erbil

 

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract untill 31/10/2024.

The base will be in Erbil with 50% travel to field locations, the project is implementing in four governorates (Anbar, Ninawa, Salahadin and Kirkuk) .

The position is paid according to SG6

 

 

Implementation of project activities according to the specified deadlines and organisational, contractual and financial directives.
Depending on the specialist division, the Expert is responsible for carrying out procurement activities, implementing technical measures and / or implementing social components within the framework of the specified project assignment.

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

 

  • Facilitate identification and profiling of project beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate the vocational training of selected project participants in collaboration with relevant line ministry.
  • Facilitate the empowering of project participants with financial literacy education in liaison with selected service providers.
  • Facilitate Training of project participants on business management in coordination with selected service providers.
  • Contribute to the integration of social cohesion and MHPSS components into the livelihood component of the project.
  • Facilitate target project participants to receive mentorship and coaching support, in collaboration with respective stakeholders.
  • Facilitate grants distribution to selected project participants in liaison with respective departments.
  • Develop detailed bi-weekly and quarterly work plans.
  • Contribute to providing data to the MEAL team to assess project performance.
  • Contribute to the documentation of lessons learnt and success stories for sharing with stakeholders.
  • Participate in respective meetings to review project progress and performance.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • University degree 
  • 2 to 3 years’ professional experience working in similar position with relevant tasks and responsibilities
  • Fluency in English ,Kurdish and Arabic (written and spoken),
  • Experience in implementation of livelihood/ MHPSS/Social Cohesion integrated projects required.
  • Support in roll out and implementation of vocational training approaches and methodologies required.
  • Experience in roll out and implementation of economic recovery approaches linked to business development support required.
  • Experience in working in multiple locations/governorates an added asset.
  • Experience working with partners desirable.
