Livelihoods Specialist (m/f)
in Al Anbar

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration until April 30, 2025. The place of work will be ​​​​​​​Al Anbar – Roving between Ramadi, Faluja and Heet, in Iraq (IQ). The position is paid according to SG6. IQD 2,506,250 As Gross monthly salary

 

Implementation of project activities according to the specified deadlines and organisational, contractual and financial directives.

 Your responsibilities
  • Support in roll out and implementation of vocational training approaches and methodologies required.
  • Provide expert advice on livelihood interventions (job creation, income generation, entrepreneurship, and vocational training).
  • Develop technical tools, guidelines, and frameworks to standardize livelihood practices across relevant areas of intervention.
  • Design and conduct capacity-building programs for the project team and relevant partners on livelihoods-related topics (market analysis, business planning).
  • Ensure harmonization of livelihood activities across partners through standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with M&E teams to monitor livelihood KPIs and evaluate project outcomes.
  • Support partners with market assessments, value chain analysis, and impact reporting for donors.
  • Build partnerships with government authorities, private sector actors, and financial institutions.
  • Facilitate identification and profiling of project beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate the empowering of project participants with financial literacy education in liaison with selected service providers.
  • Contribute to providing data to the MEAL team to assess project performance.
  • Establish partnerships with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations, to support livelihood initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and prepare reports documenting achievements and challenges.
  • Experience in working in multiple locations/governorates an added asset.

 

 

 
 

 

Professional/ formal qualification

  • University degree 
  • 3 to 5 years’ professional experience working in similar position with relevant tasks and responsibilities

Foreign language skills

  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken),
