About the role

You’ll be one of the central contacts within the Finance Team who will support our network of 400+ Local groups. You’ll report to the Local Groups Finance Manager. You’ll work closely with Local Group volunteers (Treasurers and Finance contacts) and support them with their day-to-day finances and banking, field various types of queries, ensure charity funds are being managed appropriately and support the team more widely.

What you’ll do:

Provide daily support to Local Group volunteers in managing their finances and banking, and support the delivery of the Annual Financial Return process for 400+ local groups. Data entry and administration of returns received at UK office.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve processes & systems relating to Local Groups.

Maintain several inboxes relating to Local groups and ensure a high level of customer service is provided within agreed timeframes to internal/external individuals.

To support delivery of training sessions with Volunteers.

What you’ll bring:

Excellent organisational skills, including time and process management, with an attention to detail

Experience of working with banking platforms. CRM databases, and of working with Accounting packages or similar systems

Experience of managing administrative tasks, including collating and maintaining information, as well as coordinating and arranging meetings.

Experience of supporting the delivery of training sessions, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal with a range of audiences, including volunteers.

As well as flexible working hours, this role is offered on a flexible contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week. You’ll be required to cover your own travel expenses to the office.
