We are looking for a passionate, motivated candidate /project manager, who shares our desire to see bigger, better, and more connected nature rich places throughout Greater Lincolnshire, that will benefit both wildlife and people. LCC is seeking a LNRS (Local Nature Recovery Strategy) Officer to lead the development and implementation of the LNRS’s for Greater Lincolnshire.

About the role

LNRS’s are locally led, evidence based and collaboratively produced strategies
which will highlight existing areas of value for nature, identify opportunities and establish
priorities for restoring and creating habitats, as well as delivering wider environmental
objectives using nature-based solutions.

The development of the LNRS’s is a crucial element in helping to secure the
recovery of nature across the whole of Lincolnshire. The area extends from The Humber in the
north to The Wash in the south, and has a vast and rich natural heritage and array of habitats
and landscapes including the rolling hills of the Wolds, ancient woodlands, a long and varied
coastline and unique wetlands of the Fens and Humberhead Levels.

On a typical day, your role involves liaising with landowners, local authorities, and central
government via DEFRA teams. You will be collaborating with wildlife charity groups, environment
agencies, flood agencies, and the NFU to name a few. Your ability to adapt and be dynamic,
whilst engaging strong negotiation skills will be key in connecting diverse stakeholders for
impactful outcomes.

Fixed Term for 24 months.

About you 

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the natural
environment, and be an experienced project manager, with excellent
organisational and communication skills and experience of working in partnership with
a variety of organisations and professionals. They will have the ability to build
relationships with stakeholders, and communities as well as environmental
organisations and land managers.

You will work in partnership will local authorities, Nature Partnership, land managers,
businesses and communities to identify local priorities and opportunities for nature recovery.

Please note this role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area and therefore a
valid driving licence and use of a car is required.

About the team

As you engage with a diverse mix of partners across Lincolnshire, you’ll be an integral part of
our Sustainability and Natural Environment team. Comprising 10 experts, we collaborate on
projects spanning natural environments and climate. Our hybrid work model promotes flexibility,
with team Tuesdays at the office, occasionally requiring additional days.

Outside of work we do like to get together too. Our social outings are not mandatory but we do
want you to feel that you are the part of the team and join us if you can, no pressure.
