Job Title: Logistics and Member Support Coordinator
Location: Hurricane, Utah (St. George Area)
Department/Division: CREW, Mountain West
Status: Temporary Full-Time (Exempt)
Schedule/Hours: Flexible schedule with varying shifts; 40 hours/week with additional hours as needed. Some evening and weekend hours may be occasionally required.
Reports To: Associate Director of Member Programs
Travel: 10-20%; Primarily local travel with some regional travel.

Position Summary:
ACE’s Mountain West Crew program operates 9 months out of the year, beginning in March and concluding by late November, completing diverse conservation field projects on public lands throughout the Mountain West Region of the U.S. Based in Hurricane, Utah at the “gateway to Zion National Park,” ACE Mountain West field projects include fuels reduction and thinning, invasive species treatment, native plant restoration, trail construction and more and range in location throughout southern Utah and all of Mountain West region of the U.S., from the red rock hoodoos of Bryce Canyon and Arches to the mountain peaks of the Wasatch Range to the heart of the Great Basin desert and beyond!
As the ACE Logistics and Member Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing on-the-ground support at the ACE Mountain West location, directly supporting our conservation field crews, members, and projects.
The Logistics and Member Support Coordinator has three major areas of responsibility:
1) Purchasing and meal planning
2) Member Support
3) Housing and Gear Management
As a key member of the ACE Member Support Team, the Logistics and Member Support Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of planning, purchasing, and providing meal provisions for ACE crews working in the field, as well as providing on the ground support to members including AmeriCorps timesheet assistance, mid term check ins and end of term evaluation. This position will also manage the human element of housing including room assignments as well as overseeing the Housing Supervisor program. This dynamic position works closely with the Operations Managers as well as the Member Resource team to ensure that conservation crews are prepared to successfully complete field projects with all necessary supplies and equipment.

Physical Demands: Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, hiking, carrying, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talks and hears. Manual dexterity required for use of hand and power tools, computer keyboard/mouse and other office equipment. Required to stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and/or crouch. Ability to hike over rough terrain, and camp overnight under field conditions.
Vision Requirements: Requires close, distance, peripheral and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus.
Weight Lifted or Force Exerted: Frequently moves up to 50 lbs., ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Environmental: Outdoor and indoor conditions. Work environment conditions can change frequently; working under adverse weather conditions and in various climates.
Noise Environment: Moderate noise.
Travel: This position requires domestic travel.
Compensation (Grade 2): Bi-Weekly pay of $1,920 – $2,080

Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Time: As an ACE staff member, you will be eligible to accrue up to 80 hours of paid vacation time annually during your first two years of continuous employment, then it increases to 120 hours annually. ACE observes 13 paid annual holidays (floating holiday flexibility). ACE provides 10 days (or 80 hours) of paid sick time annually.
