As a Logistics Assistant at CurrentBody, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with our logistics team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of products from our suppliers to our warehouse and from our warehouse to our customers. This position offers an exciting entry-level opportunity, suitable for recent graduates or individuals who are eager to start their career in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Arrange transportation with freight forwarders to collect goods from suppliers and deliver them to our warehouses, and prepare basic customs documentation, such as commercial invoices.
- Monitor and report on the inbound schedule of our warehouses in the UK and internationally.
- Assist the warehouse team in receiving and verifying stock from suppliers, investigate discrepancies, shortages, damages, and overages.
- Follow up with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of stock.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely payment to suppliers and freight forwarders.
- Maintain up-to-date Excel trackers and reports on the status of shipments, and communicate any delays to the relevant departments.
Requirements
- Ideal candidate should have a degree level qualification.
- Must possess strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail is crucial, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities are required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems, is preferred
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs documentation will be advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
