We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team to work as part of the essential support function of the Wellcome Genome Campus, to provide an effective and customer focused service.

About the role:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will operate to agreed service standards and levels. Carry out various tasks on a rotational basis, which will include some heavy lifting.

You will be working in our newly refurbished Logistics Hub, which provides an ergonomically designed warehouse, along with a lounge and kitchen area.

You will be working as part of a larger job family including Procurement, Finance and Supply Chain, and opportunities for progression and training will be supported.

You will be responsible for:

Goods in processing,

Sample receipting,

Inventory order picking

Portering of deliveries to various buildings on Campus in our own transit van

Customer service via email and at our collection counter

Moving of equipment for disposal or relocation

Essential Skills:

Previous goods in experience in goods in

You will need to have to ability to work both independently and as part of a team

You will have good organisational skills .

To have a good level of written and oral communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail

IT Skills

Full UK driving licence (Category B)

Ability to drive a Reach truck would be advantageous

About Us

The Logistics department is an essential service supporting the varied sciences carried out here on the Campus.

We are a small team of 10 who are skilled staff with many years of experience in this environment .

Other Information:

Closing date: 11th February 2024

Salary in the region of: £25,000 to £30,000

Working hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
