O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting a Logistics Manager for a new commercial project in Manchester.Resbonsibilities:
Manage all site activities and scope applicable to the logistic package.
Manage the logistics team comprising of telehandler ops, hoist operators, general ops, gateman/traffic marshals.
Ensure that security of the site is maintained at all times and report to Senior Management any risks and any measure that may be implemented to improve the security of the site.
Manage the Msite Delivery Management System and supply chain compliance with protocols to ensure planned and coordinated management of deliveries.
Set an example through high personal standards in the application of health and safety.
Ensure compliance with the fire, traffic and Health and Safety Management Plans.
Ensure full compliance with hs-gn-78-H&S Standards for Subcontractors and BAM Best Practice requirements.
Comply with the requirements of environmental regulations and BAM Environmental Operating Procedures.
Develop and update Logistic plans and TMP’s in collaboration with BAM Site Managers.
Co-operate with the visiting Health and Safety Advisor and act on recommendations given.
Chair Weekly Logistics Meetings with BAM Site Managers and Supply Chain to ensure plans are communicated and coordinated.
Comply with any instructions issued by BAM Construction management or Statutory Authorities.
Close liaison with Project AP to ensure lifting operations and deliveries are coordinated.
Ensure site diary is kept detailing events of the day, operations., operatives plant and machinery, any issues, weather etc.
Report to Senior Management any individual failing to discharge their responsibilities satisfactorily.
Ensure that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are reported in accordance with company procedures.
Undertake briefings and toolbox talks with the logistics team to ensure effective communication of H&S requirements, protocols, standards and site rules ensuring safe working by all.
Ensure the effective briefing of all delivery drivers so they understand and adhere to the site rules.
Ensure that all machinery and plant, including power provision and site radios, are maintained in good condition and that persons using/operating them are suitably trained and undertake the necessary checks and inspections. Ensure where necessary the supporting documentation and inspection checklists are compiled and uploaded onto BIM360.
Ensure the safe unloading, storing, and stacking of all materials.
Ensure good housekeeping on and around site is maintained.
Ensure effective Waste Management in collaboration with Site Managers.
Ensure recording of waste transfer, with all recorded and uploaded onto BIM360.
Manage the requirement and turnaround of skips to satisfy project demands in line with site rules.
Ensure sufficient supply of waste receptacles are in place for use by the supply chain.

Requiremants:
Hold a valid CSCS card with SMSTS (desireable) or SSSTS (essential) qualification.
Hold a valid First Aid ticket (desirable but not essential)
Have extensive previous experience on similar projects.
Be able to provide references.
