Monday- FridayWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Logistics Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and optimise all aspects of our logistics operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Our dedicated individual will lead our Despatch, Goods Inwards, and Packing areas to achieve the key objectives outlined in our functional plan. The primary focus will be on ensuring efficient operations and maintaining 100% stock accuracy in Logistic-owned stock depots.Key Responsibilities:
” Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.
” All Logistic stock depots – Raw materials and FUS, are 100% accurate at point of issue to the business
” Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate logistics activities and ensure timely delivery of goods.
” Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
” Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
” All Finished stock material is prepared accurately and despatched 100% to customers in line with pre-advised pick notes
” Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, customs, and transportation laws.
” Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
” Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
” Oversee inventory management processes to maintain accurate stock levels and minimise stockouts and excess inventory.
” Play a key part in the factory upgrade, in particular with the store’s refurbishment planned for 2024. To ensure the stores layout meets departmental & business requirements).Qualifications and Skills:
” Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
” Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
” Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mind-set.
” Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS.
” Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
” Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
” Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
” Continuous improvement mind-set with a focus on driving operational excellence.
