This community needs people like you: dedicated, agile and above all audacious so we can truly drive science forward.The Logistics Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans, and procedures to ensure efficient processing of raw materials and intermediates into finished goodsThis position reports to the Logistics Site Manager, UK and is part of the Logistics Team in Abcam, Cambridge, UK and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Line manage and coach the OEM & IHM product processing team, and provide monthly 1:1 meetings to discuss performance, progression and goalsDetermine Processing priorities and actively assess resources to support the transformation and delivery of productsLiaise cross-functionally to ensure product processing is accurate, and on time, to avoid overstocking or stock-outsProvide summaries of workflow to the Logistics Site Manager, UK, and other stakeholdersResponsible with other departmental managers to justify FTE for the entire department and work with TA to recruit and back-fill any vacanciesMonitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions through the use of DBS toolsServe our internal customers in Manufacturing to effectively support their operationsThe essential requirements of the job include:Experience working within a Logistics/Supply Chain/Manufacturing roleDemonstrated Team-leading experience and skillsExperience working with Oracle ERP systemIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:SCALE WMS systemJoin our winning team today.
