Your main responsibilities:
Logistics & Procurement:
- Manage logistics set-up for programmes and intervention zones – field office set-up, recommendations, technical support of field logisticians in Eastern Ukraine
- Closely cooperates with Programme and Finance/Admin team in optimising logistics support
- Ensure correct handling of material resources (assets, fleet, warehousing)
- Make sure equipment is supplied according to predetermined planning
- Organize the allocation and provision of the technical equipment
- Supervise and instructs Procurement officer on procurement processes, supplier selection, planning
- Provide training in handling logistics processes
- Support in the development of operating procedures and ensure adequate documentation for each process/procedure
- Supervises provision of preventive and curative maintenance for the fleet of vehicle
Warehousing:
- Ensure that all warehouse functions and processes are in place and adhered to by alllogistics personnel
- Ensure stock management procedures are implemented and stock evidence is done in real time
Team and HR:
- Raise any questions tothe Logistics & Procurement Coordinatorregarding HEKS compliance with basic requirements of the local law inrespect to employment conditions and related matters
- Encouraging effective team work and providing supervision and guidance, especially on issues related to cross-sectoral collaboration and harmonizing approaches
- Identify gaps in Logistics department, ensure correct staffing and recruitment of additional capacities
To be successful you bring:
- Professional diploma or university degree is a Logistics field (supply, IT, mechanic…)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Advance IT knowledge (hardware and software, Microsoft Office, Internet)
- Previous experience with an NGO is mandatory
- Previous experience in emergency response is appreciated
- Skills: organized, sense of human relations, diplomacy and communication skills
- Languages requirement: English (mandatory), Ukrainian and/or Russian (preferable)
