Duties and Responsibilities

Coordination of Logistics Functions: The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating all aspects of purchasing, warehousing, and the day-to-day management of logistics and transportation systems.

Procurement and Transport Oversight: Monitor and follow up on matters related to procurement operations, transport, and logistics systems to ensure they are conducted efficiently and according to organizational standards.

Policy Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to organizational procurement policies and guidelines, as approved by the organization’s management.

Asset Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of assets for each project, ensuring proper registration and documentation.

Integration with Administration: Collaborate with the administration department to integrate logistics services seamlessly with work systems and operations, including project management and financial processes.

Donor Requirements: Implement the specific requirements of donors related to logistical operations to meet compliance and reporting standards.

Warehouse Management: Establish and maintain effective warehouse management practices, including a comprehensive commodity tracking system.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field.

2-3 years of relevant experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management.

Thorough knowledge of procurement, logistics, and supply chain management systems and procedures.

Strong networking capabilities to collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with the ability to use it for various tasks.

Strong reporting skills to communicate logistics activities effectively.
Required Languages

Fluent in Arabic and Advanced English proficiency.
