Logistics Officer, Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean
Fixed Term till 1st September 2025 with possibility of renewal subject to donor funding.
The starting salary for this position is $15,000 TTD monthly
About the Caribbean programme:
In the Caribbean region, MAG together with CARICOM IMPACS is building on various assessments undertaken in the region in 2022/2023 to provide targeted assistance to states with regard to weapons and ammunition management, policy and advocacy support, and engagement with a wide range of other partners. This innovative programme focuses on safety, security and sustainability, ultimately helping to create the conditions for peace and sustainable development.
About the role:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for providing logistics and procurement support to MAG Caribbean including the management of competitive procurement processes, the development of a supplier database, maintenance of comprehensive records and facilities, coordination with the international procurement team; ensuring MAG logistics policies and procedures are followed.
About you:
- Experience of implementing and managing logistical controls and procedures
- Experience conducting marketing surveys is desirable
- Understanding of ethical purchasing guidelines and ideally knowledge of INGO standards
- Experience managing tenders and selecting and developing good relationships with suppliers
- Ability to develop and maintain clear record keeping systems to monitor supply chain and asset management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to coordinate, plan and prioritise activities
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and licensing is desirable
- Previous experience completing logistics paperwork and record keeping
