We are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated Logistics Operations Specialist to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will take charge of overseeing logistics operations across our Core Businesses, serving as a dedicated European Logistics Representative. Your Job

• Demonstrate your impeccable organization skills by ensuring timely receipting of inbounds, issuing outbounds, and accurately picking orders. Hold third-party partners accountable for sending EDIs, streamlining communication and enhancing efficiency.

• Showcase your strategic mindset by planning strategically delivery schedules to customers and internal storage locations, utilizing various transportation modes such as rail, barge, ISO, and deep-sea vessels to optimize logistics operations.

• Track the movement of loaded RTCs (Returnable Transport Containers), providing regular updates to CX (Customer Experience), Commercial, and SOE (Sales Order Entry) teams as needed.

• Take ownership of inventory accuracy at third-party locations, conducting regular reconciliations, virtual and physical counts, and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies to maintain precise inventory records.

• Be the go-to person for logistics inquiries, serving as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders within the business, providing timely and reliable solutions to address their concerns.

• Foster effective communication with customers, suppliers, and transporters, ensuring prompt and cost-effective delivery of goods, while maintaining strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.

• Track and report on critical key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance logistics performance.

• Utilize your analytical skills to analyze data, identify opportunities for enhancing logistics efficiency, and implement waste reduction initiatives, contributing to cost savings and operational excellence.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including sales, production, and finance, aligning logistics activities, and resolving any interdepartmental issues to ensure seamless operations.

• Uphold compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards, promoting a safe and secure working environment in all logistics operations.

• Manage the maintenance and repair of the RTC fleet, ensuring the containers are in optimal condition for transportation.

• Coordinate barge and vessel loading and unloading nominations, ensuring efficient transfer of goods.

• Process export clearance requests to customers and export vessels, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth shipping procedures.

A contribution mindset is essential, with the ability to travel when required. A bachelor’s degree and / or exposure to Supply Chain / International Logistics / International Trade Compliance / Dangerous Goods is desirable. Additional language skills and SAP ERP experience will set you apart from your peers.
