45 hours per week. Working 9 hours per day, around the core hours of 6am to 6pm, on a Monday to Friday basis, flexibility required to cover other days to suit business needs.

Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.We are now recruiting for a Logistics Route Planner to join us. Reporting to the Depot Manager, this role will be responsible for route planning and supporting our drivers in the transport of our stock of lagers, ales, and craft beers from our Bedford depot to our customers.Key Accountabilities:

• Planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the CMBC Transport Team
• Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive (WTD) and drivers’ hours.
• Producing optimal transport plans and approving transport routes.
• Assisting the Transport Planning Supervisor to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively.
• Monitoring the Transport Management software.
• Liaising with our depots and customers as required on deliveries and any issues.
• Ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation.
• Producing cost efficient operational transport plans daily

Experience and Key Attributes:

• IT literate with experience using MS Office and SAP preferred, not required.
• Experience in a similar transport or route planning role
• Experience using DiPS planning system preferred however not required
• Basic knowledge of working time directive and vehicle restrictions
• Numeracy and literacy with attention to detail
• Communication at all levels of the business
